Our pearls (unlike most) are not processed in any manner but have to be cleansed of all organic matter. For this reason they are washed under tap water, soaked in mineral oil for an hour and finally patted dry. That is all we do to our loose pearls... so when you get one, you know it is a Natural Treasure, not a mass-produced or clone-like product. Our Mabe pearls, on the other hand, do have to be processed in order to be set in jewelry. They are first cut from the shell by means of lapidary tools; the plastic implant is removed from the pearl so we are left with a hollow dome of nacre (mother-of-pearl). This hollow portion is then filled up with colorless epoxy resin, and a piece of mother-of-pearl shell is attached to the backside. All other kinds of mabe pearls are subjected to this same processing, but we take special care to not over-process them. What do we mean by this? Our epoxy is not colored and thus it cannot "give" the pearl a given color, the inner part of the dome is not coated with paint either, and we do not over-polish our mabe thus it will have its natural grain and texture instead of a glass-like appearance.
Our pearls are guaranteed to have 100% True Natural Beauty.
